BB Lightpipe delivered 840 pieces of BB Logilight fixtures in the main workshop of the Brussels metro. The workshop is used for the maintenance of the trams and is located directly south of the Delta metro station. The regular line tracks cross the depot underground.
The BB Logilight is placed in the maintenance pit of the main workshop. Here train maintenance takes place where they can easily access, inspect and repair the trams from below. Here it is important to have good and non glare lighting for these work activities.
Test site
The metro staff tested Multiple LED luminaires from various suppliers for this specific project in a pilot setup. They selected the BB Lightpipe fixture as the most suitable because of the lighting is the least blinding and most comfortable.
The fixtures are mounted with a specially designed bracket to the train rails in order to make installation quick and easy.
